Married Marcia Jean Hessey from Bangor, MI, in September, 1973. Graduated from Great Lakes Christian College and received a Master’s Degree at Cincinnati Christian University. Served 10 years as Youth Minister at Kentwood Christian Church in Grand Rapids, MI. Moved to Joplin, MO in 1985 to work for Christ In Youth as Director of Conferences for 19 years, then as President of the organization for 15 years. Transitioned full time to Senior Relationship Officer in September 2019. Marcia and I enjoy our friends and community, “kids” and 5 grandchildren. Like to walk, hike, read, fish and vacation!

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

Take a month long vacation to Sweden and other European countries. Take a multi-day day trip to fish for Tuna in the gulf of Mexico. Visit Alaska to see relatives, the land and fish for Salmon. Tour the National parks out west.
